I’m sure you’d agree that the pace of our daily lives makes it easy to quickly run out of energy. Just thinking about how I have to take care of the kids, my partner, employees, the house, family, my friends and of course myself, makes me tired already. I have a few tricks I’d like to share that give me more energy so that I can take care of everything without being completely wiped out at the end of the day: 1) My meals are balanced and complete; 2) I never skip a meal (I have three a day plus two snacks); 3) I engage in regular physical activity that I enjoy; 4) I try to get eight hours of sleep a night, because that’s how much I need to be in good shape for the next day; 5) I take time to do what I like, to unwind and take care of myself. So there you have my secrets for keeping up my energy daily. Now it’s time for you to share yours!

Contrary to a lot of moms out there, I play with my 3½-year-old son when I need a boost. Since I started my business last summer I’ve been in constant work mode. My computer, phone, and social media have become a near obsession. When I play with my son I’m forced to put the technology away. That way I am 100% present and I enjoy it as much as he does. When it’s time to get back to work, I feel more energetic.
